DESCRIPTION:Tzipor Ulman\, PhD\, is the founder and CEO of Science is Elementary (SiE)\, a non-profit (501c3) whose vision is that all children know science is awesome and use its principles to better their lives.  \nUnder her leadership\, SiE grew from an idea to a multi-faceted organization that has impacted 10\,000 students through its in-class program\, trained over 900 STEM professionals to serve as mentors to low-income youth\, and provides professional development for elementary teachers in science and engineering. \nTzipor is active in the community\, serving on several nonprofit boards\, and is the recipient of the Jefferson Award for Public Service.  \nWatch a video about Tzipor’s Jefferson award for Public Service \nIMPORTANT NOTE: This meeting is scheduled for the last Thursday of the month.
