Judge Polly Webber on “Why Immigration is Key to America’s Future”

December 20, 2007 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am PST

Immigration Judge Polly Webber will discuss one of the hottest topics today: Immigration in America. Although Judge Webber can’t take sides, she will shed light on the issues behind the guest worker program, temporary professional workers, and fingerprinting of visitors to the US as well as proposals for driver’s licenses for illegal aliens. She will also discuss both the legal and human side of immigration cases in court. There will likely be a lively question-and-answer period. So don’t miss it!

Polly Webber is a distinguished U.S. Immigration Judge who has adjudicated more than 5,000 cases. A former President of the ABA-affiliated American Immigration Lawyers Association, Judge Webber has been an adjunct professor of law at both Santa Clara University School of Law and Lincoln Law School. She had her own law practice for 15 years before being named an Immigration Judge by the U.S. Department of Justice in 1995. She has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1977. A graduate of UC Berkeley, she holds her Juris Doctor degree from Hastings College of Law (UC San Francisco).
