TMD member Donna spoke on her recent experiences as part of a Compassionate Listening Delegation to Israel and Palestine this past March. This fascinating trip took the delegation directly into the hot spots of the Palestinian uprising and the military siege that was waged in response. Some of the highlights of the trip included meeting with Christian Peacemakers, settlers, human rights workers, bereaved parents, women’s groups, activists, and political leaders from both governments. Donna’s trip also included visits to Hebron’s old city, where she stayed overnight with a family whose home was twice demolished by Israeli bulldozers, and to the north of Israel, where she swam in the sea of Galilee.
