DESCRIPTION:To create a successful startup\, everyone needs to be connected: Entrepreneurs\, angel investors\, venture capitalists\, engineers\, technologists\, and the organizations that serve them. A resource of information and networking opportunities for technology startups\, WorkIt.com connects members of the technology business community in Silicon Valley and the Greater Bay Area\, linking people to the resources they need to be successful. \nOur speaker for March is Derinda Gaumond\, who founded WorkIt in November of 1999. Started as a weekly mailing list to 100 of her friends\, so they could meet up at local networking events and parties\, the list now exceeds 3400 subscribers.
