Chef Jesse Cool

Jesse Cool is the reigning diva of CoolEatz and the chef-proprietor of three restaurants: Flea Street Café, jZcool Eatery and Catering Co., and the Cool Café at the Cantor Center for the Visual Arts on Stanford University campus. A restauranteur for over 25 years, Jesse has consistently followed her vision of using as many organic ingredients in her restaurants and catering pursuits as possible. She is committed to supporting local farmers in her dedication to sustainable cuisine and agriculture. “We take pride in the food we cook for you and your family,” says Jesse. “We also feel it is important to pass on our commitment to use these foods to nurture our bodies and the future of our environment by using organic and wholesome ingredients.”

A prolific food writer, Jesse has authored four cookbooks, the newest of which is Your Organic Kitchen: The Essential Guide to Selecting and Cooking Organic Foods. Her previous cookbooks include Breakfast in Bed, Tomatoes: A Country Garden Cookbook, and Onions: A Country Garden Cookbook. She has contributed to publications such as Food and Wine, Fine Cooking, Shape, and Rebecca’s Garden, while maintaining a regular produce column in Silicon Valley’s national newspaper The San Jose Mercury News.

Jesse participates actively in her community in the San Francisco Bay Area, teaches cooking classes regularly, and remains involved professionally as a member of several culinary associations. She has appeared on various television venues including The Today Show, The Food Network, and BayTV’s Bay Café.
