SUMMARY:Living an Extraordinary Life
DESCRIPTION:Betty Jo completed her BA in Economics at UCLA in 1976. Her interest in education motivated her to go on to Vanderbilt University where she earned her MA in Art History. While pursuing a career in business\, Betty Jo discovered she had a gift for teaching and public speaking\, and a passion for Personal Growth\, which she molded into “The Career of her Dreams” and has enjoyed since 1981. \n\nBetty Jo facilitates Personal Growth workshops for Productive Learning & Leisure\, a respected seminar company. She has extensive experience leading workshops on various subjects\, including communication\, leadership\, personal presentation\, team building\, conflict resolution\, problem solving and self-esteem. In addition to a full curriculum of local offerings\, Betty Jo has led workshops on safari in Tanzania\, SCUBA diving in the Coral Sea\, on a cruise in Tahiti and will soon be in Machu Pichu leading a “Learning Vacation” workshop with 20 participants. \nWith over 27 years of experience\, Betty Jo trains extensively in both the private and corporate arena. Her latest venture is working in Japan with a group of prominent Business Consultants from the U.S. to shift the mindset of business leaders in Japanese companies committed to becoming truly global. She is co-author of a recently published book entitled Scrappy Women in Business\, a compilation of the success stories of women around the globe designed to help other women muster the courage and commitment to pursue their goals—even when there is no evidence that they can succeed. Betty Jo’s passion and love of her work is evident in her trainings where her style of working with people makes it safe for them to discover and learn. She is dedicated to providing immediate results as well as long-term transformation. Her favorite quote is by Michelangelo: “The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it\, but that it is too low and we reach it.”
