SUMMARY:Ann Ravel\, County Counsel for Santa Clara County
DESCRIPTION:Ms. Ravel is the first woman to be appointed to the highest office in any of the three Santa Clara County public law offices. A 1974 graduate of Hastings Law School\, Ann received her undergraduate degree from the UC Berkeley. She attended the Program for Senior Government Officials at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government in 1995. Ann began her career as a Law Clerk for the Santa Clara County Superior Court. Since 1975\, she has practiced civil and public agency law\, with an emphasis in employment\, sexual harassment\, and civil rights litigation.
