SUMMARY:Unlocking the power of intuition
DESCRIPTION:Intuition is defined as the ability to understand something immediately without the need for conscious reasoning. But what is intuition\, exactly\, and how is it relevant? How\, where\, and when does it show up in our lives? How can we tune in to our intuition\, and when can we trust it? Join us in a conversation that will both demystify the concept of intuition and build your confidence in applying and using your own intuition. \nOur conversation will begin with Understanding Intuition.  We will discuss the many ways intuition can show up in our lives\, including so-called “gut feelings”\, premonitions\, insights\, and much more.  We will also briefly explore the science behind intuition. \nWe will then turn our attention to the practice of Developing Your Intuition\, and we will discuss five techniques to build our intuition. Together we will explore each of these techniques through the lens of our own life experience: as a participant\, you will have the opportunity to do some real-time intuitive exploration on a topic or question that is relevant to you! \nWe will wrap up our conversation with a discussion around Trusting and Applying Your Intuition.  We will look at some of the most common obstacles that prevent us from connecting with our intuition\, and we’ll also explore the role of intuition in making decisions. Finally\, we will close with an intention-setting practice to invite and cultivate our own intuition. \nWhether you join the conversation as a skeptic or the next intuition guru\, you will leave this discussion with new ideas and practical tools to help you decide when to let the rational mind take the lead\, and when to unlock the power of your intuition.  \nAbout our speaker\nAmanda Surratt is a certified Reiki Master\, certified Life Coach\, Mental Fitness Coach\, and a former RYT200 Yoga Teacher.  She also holds multiple certifications in Applied Positive Psychology. She has been featured on The Divine Messages Podcast episode “Choose Your Spiritual Influencers Wisely”\, and in Authority Magazine’s article “How to Get in Touch With Your Intuition.”  Amanda’s unique approach blends the pragmatism of scientifically informed methodologies with the intuition and empathy of an energy worker and healer.
